Ingredients
Contains only natural ingredient Deionized water, apricot oil (organic), MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), sweet almond oil (organic), usnea extract (organic), vitamin E, calendula
extract (organic), coconut wax, glycerine, tea tree oil, aloe extract 200:1 (organic), vitamin A, grapefruit seed extract, vitamin D3, 6% micronized titanium dioxide, 6% micronized zinc oxide,
essential oil of orange. SPF 30+
A note about the Orange Oil in our formula:
Most people are not awarethat there are two kinds of orange oil -sweet orange oil and bitter orange oil. It isbitter orange oilthat can cause photosensitivity if applieddirectly on skin in it's undiluted, concentratedform. We use sweet orange oil in our sunscreen. Small amount of it that we usefor fragrance (about 2%)is safe and does not cause photo sensitivity. According to some sources,essential oil of orangehas mildanti-inflammatory properties andcan be used as a topical agent to help calm skin inflamations andirritations, as well as itching due to bug bites, poison ivy or poison oak.
A note about Vitamin A in our formula:
The esters from essential fatty acids in vitamin A need to be converted to retinoic acid before being active and photosensitive. In addition the vitamin A in our
synergistic formula
is coated with peptides which further reduces a possibility of photo sensitivity. Also, please note that there are various forms of vitamin A.
Vitamin A does have a few benefit it helps to protect the skin from free radical damage, helps speeding the cell renewal process, minor burns and scrapes, and also helps reduce wrinkles and stretch marks.
